Erik Lamela scored his first Tottenham goal for 17 months in Wednesday night’s FA Cup victory over Newport County.
The Argentine struck midway through the first half of the fourth round replay at Wembley.
Newport defender Dan Butler had already turned Moussa Sissoko’s goal into his own net to put Spurs 1-0 up.
Lamela then latched onto Heung-Min Son’s pass before slotting the ball into the far corner.
He hadn’t found the net since before a long injury layoff during which he underwent surgery on both hips.
Earlier this week, Lamela insisted he is happy at Tottenham despite rumours linking him with a return to Italy.
