Heung-Min Son admits he doesn’t have a special handshake with Mauricio Pochettino.
The South Korean, who has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, has become known for the elaborate, unique handshakes he shares with each member of the Tottenham squad.
In an interview with FourFourTwo, Son tried to explain what it’s all about.
“People think I brought it to Tottenham, but I think it was Dele Alli who actually started it. For me, the handshakes are a special thing,” he said.
“I don’t see all of these guys as just my team-mates – I see them as friends and I want to show that. That’s why I’ve got a different one for every player. I think everybody enjoys it.”
“I don’t have one with the gaffer. I just say, ‘Hello’. I’m too scared to try it with him!”
Son is now in the middle of is third season with Spurs and is becoming more of a fan favourite all the time.
