Erik Lamela put in a man of the match display in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Newport County in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
Now I know what you’re thinking – ‘it was only Newport’ – but Lamela was by far the best player on the pitch as Spurs progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Argentine scored his first goal for 17 months midway through the first half, latching on to Heung-Min Son’s pass before showing some clever footwork and finishing low past the goalkeeper.
