Davinson Sanchez has revealed he would not consider a move to Real Madrid from Tottenham right now.
The 21-year-old became Spurs’ record signing last summer when he joined from Ajax for a fee of around £38 million.
Impressively, he slotted straight into the team and played brilliantly in a back three in between Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld during the first few months of his Tottenham career.
Sanchez has looked slightly suspect in recent weeks, but he is clearly a huge talent and could go on to become one of the world’s best centre-backs.
Inevitably, that could lead to interest from some of Europe’s top clubs. But Sanchez has already turned down a move to Barcelona once in his career before joining Ajax in 2016.
Real Madrid have a history of trying to lure Spurs players to the Bernabeu, although they haven’t been linked with Sanchez yet.
Regardless, the defender told Fox Sports Radio Colombia he isn’t currently interested in joining the European champions.
“Right now, here in Tottenham I am very good. I am playing every three to four days. I am being important in the team,” he said. (Quotes via Goal.)
“As big as Madrid is, no matter how big a team are, that has won what they have won, if the conditions are not favourable for me, unfortunately I cannot accept.”
Hopefully Sanchez will continue to settle and progress at Tottenham, who could be reliant on the Colombian if Toby Alderweireld’s contract talks continue to stall.
So his stated opinion is not good enough for you? He has said so, thus it is not MSM effluent and instead is that strange MSM rare creature: fact. But, of course seeing as people like you think that the sun shines out of the rear end of the cheats known as real Madrid, you are unable to see why he would say so. Did it ever strike you that not everyone thinks highly of clubs who blatantly financially cheat years after year? Perhaps therein lies a hint?

Why don’t players simply shut up and just play football? This kind of statement makes them look really stupid.
He needs to get some good games under his belt at Spurs, stay out of trouble and become a regular part of the team for at least a season before saying anything at all. When he does say something, someone else should make sure it is ok before he speaks. The same goes for Lamela.
