Tottenham are interested in signing Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Tousart has scored two goals in 76 appearances for Lyon since joining from Valenciennes in 2015.
Despite a lack of goal threat, the 20-year-old has emerged as one the most highly-rated midfielders in France.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Spurs are among the clubs keen on Tousart – Arsenal Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Inter Milan are also thought to be interested.
The report suggests Lyon might only command £22 million for the France Under-21 international.
The Ligue 1 club are apparently focusing their efforts on retaining other stars this summer.
Tottenham are said to be on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, leading to a number of midfielders from across Europe being linked with a move to north London.
Werder Bremen and Denmark star Thomas Delaney is the latest of those candidates, according to reports in Germany.
Like the Delaney story, no reputable UK-based outlets have picked up on the Tousard rumours yet. Until then, file this one under speculation.
