Jose Mourinho is threatening to drop Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez for Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham this weekend, according to the Telegraph.

United handed the Premier League title to their rivals Manchester City on Sunday by losing 1-0 against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.

After the game Mourinho hinted he will rotate against Bournemouth on Wednesday, giving incoming players the chance to earn a place in the starting line-up at Wembley.

And the Telegraph claims Pogba and Sanchez – two of United’s most underwhelming performers against West Brom – are chief among those in danger of facing the axe.

Pogba has endured a difficult season amid rumours he doesn’t have a good working relationship with Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Sanchez has struggled to discover his best form since joining United from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Both players are still able to produce moments of magic on their day, and I think Spurs will be happier to see them out of the team than in it – if that is indeed the case on Saturday.

Tottenham travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night aiming to strengthen their hold on four place.
