Tottenham face a tough trip to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Tuesday night, and Mauricio Pochettino has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United must be in the back of the Spurs manager’s mind, and rotation against Brighton is a real possibility.

That said, Tuesday is also an important game – Tottenham could strengthen their hold on fourth place with a win.

With all of that in mind, I think we’ll see three or four changes from the team that lost to Manchester City at the weekend, but Pochettino will resist the temptation to alter too much.

Danny Rose is still injured, so Ben Davies will keep his place at left-back. On the other side, I expect Serge Aurier to replace Kieran Trippier.

Mousa Dembele will surely be rested given his fitness issues. Victor Wanyama will probably come in for him, although it could be Moussa Sissoko.

Alternatively, Sissoko could replace one of the more attacking midfielders. But I think it would be dangerous to leave out Christian Eriksen or Dele Alli.

Instead, perhaps Harry Kane will drop to the bench. He was mostly ineffective against City and Tottenham need him to be physically ready for Saturday.

Heung-Min Son could play up front, and Lucas Moura might be rewarded for his impressive cameo at the weekend.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Brighton – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I’d be surprised if Kane doesnt start. Brighton is a good opportunity for Spurs to cement top 4 that bit more and an even better opportunity for Kane to get a few goals for the race for the golden boot. I would expect us to play;

    Kane.
    Son, Dele, Lucas,
    Dier, Wanyama,
    Davies, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Aurier,
    Lloris.
