Manchester United are still interested in signing Danny Rose despite an inconsistent season for Tottenham, according to the Guardian.
Rose has endured a arduous campaign at Spurs having struggled to regain fitness and form following a 10-month lay-off with a knee injury.
Matters were made worse by an interview the defender gave back in August in which he criticised Tottenham’s ambition in the transfer market.
In that interview, the 27-year-old hinted he would be open to leaving the club – United were heavily linked at the time.
But a combination of his injury and those controversial comments has seen Ben Davies emerge as Mauricio Pochettino’s preferred left-back.
Rose’s lack of form had seemingly put him in limbo – would United still be interested in a player who is only playing at half of his best level?
Well, it appears so. The Guardian claims Jose Mourinho is still to keen to take Rose to Old Trafford this summer as he aims to strengthen at full-back.
Toby Alderweireld is also expected to leave Spurs this summer. Hopefully the club can avoid selling the Belgian to a direct rival.
I wonder why we would agree to sell Rose to man U….if we need to strengthen our LB…..if man u deem he is good why do we sell? For the money like in Kyle walker case ???….strange
Please help keep Toby at Spurs. Please pay the going wage for this outstanding player .. yes keep wages in check… but sometimes you have to do to keep that player !
