Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Newcastle United was enough to secure Champions League football for next season as Chelsea dropped points against Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Harry Kane scored the only goal as Spurs edged past Newcastle at Wembley. The hosts were below par for the most part but managed to keep out Rafael Benitez’s side on a number of occasions.
Chelsea could only manage a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield, meaning Tottenham are now four points clear and will definitely finish above their London rivals and in the top four.
