It’s fair to say Clinton N’Jie didn’t have a great time of it at Tottenham.
The Cameroon international joined Spurs from Lyon in the summer of 2015, but didn’t score a single goal in his 14 appearances for the club.
He was eventually loaned back to France with Marseille, where has found the net 13 times across two seasons and has since been bought permanently by the Ligue 1 side.
N’Jie came off the bench in Wednesday night’s Europa League final against Atletico Madrid, which Marseille lost 3-0.
At 2-0, N’Jie catastrophically mishit a good shooting opportunity – on this evidence I don’t think Tottenham will have many regrets about letting him go.
