Tottenham are interested in signing Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma but could face competition from clubs across Europe, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims Spurs have been watching Bissouma all season with a view to moving for the 21-year-old this summer.

However, Bissouma is also said to be a target for Schalke and Monaco, who are set to lose Leon Goretzka and Fabinho respectively in the coming weeks. Everton are keen, too.

Tottenham’s interest in Bissouma is likely a result of the uncertainty surrounding Mousa Dembele’s future in north London.

The Belgian is expected to leave Spurs this summer and the club has reportedly been scouting potential replacements for some time.

Sky Sports believes Tottenham have also been monitoring Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, RB Salzburg’s Amadou Heidara and Valencia star Geoffrey Kondogbia, who is on loan from Inter.

What’s more, recent reports have linked Spurs with Boca Juniors enforcer Wilmar Barrios.

Dembele might not be the only midfielder to leave Tottenham this summer – Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko have also been frequently mentioned in gossip columns.

I’m certain Bissouma is just one of a long list of names set to be linked with Spurs before the start of next season.
