Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen is attracting interest from several clubs, according to his agent.

Eriksen was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona last summer, but the La Liga giants waited until January and signed Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool instead.

Those links have emerged again in recent weeks, while reports in Spain suggest Real Madrid could also make a move for Eriksen this summer.

However, Eriksen recently dismissed claims he could leave Spurs in the current transfer window, and the Dane is expected to sign a new contract before the start of next season.

But that doesn’t mean some of Europe’s biggest clubs will end their interest in Eriksen.

The 26-year-old’s agent, Martin Schoots, has hinted multiple clubs remain keen on his client’s services.

“The only thing I can say is that concerning the interest of several clubs in Christian is that we prefer not to comment,” Schoots said (via the London Evening Standard).

“Christian wants to focus completely on the World Cup – just as he did before on qualifying for the Champions League with Spurs.

“But becoming a father for the first time very soon, there is even something bigger at the moment he is giving his attention to.”

Eriksen’s long-term future at Tottenham is likey to depend on that of Mauricio Pochettino – the Spurs boss has been linked with the vacant managerial post at Real Madrid.

However, Pochettino has revealed he is “very happy” at Tottenham, which should help negotiations over Eriksen’s new contract.
