The agent of Bordeaux winger Malcom is set to hold talks with Tottenham, according to reports.
Malcom emerged as a target for Spurs back in the January transfer window – Arsenal were also interested in signing the Brazilian at the time.
But a deal failed to materialise as Bordeaux were demanding close to £50 million, and Tottenham signed Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain for £25 million instead.
Now, according to Premium Sports (via talkSPORT), a deal to take Malcom to Spurs could be back on.
The report claims Malcom’s agent will fly to England for talks with Tottenham. However, the agent will also discuss a potential move with Liverpool.
If true, it will be interesting to see who Malcom chooses.
Both sides are in the Champions League next season, and Spurs are likely to match Liverpool on wages after altering their salary structure in recent weeks, handing huge new contracts to Mauricio Pochettino and Harry Kane.
Malcom scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in 38 appearances for Bordeaux last season.
Whether he will be able translate his Ligue 1 form to the Premier League is up for debate.
