Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to reports in Germany.
Wanyama missed long spells of last season after suffering a knee injury early in the campaign.
He marked his return from injury with a stunning goal against Liverpool at Anfield.
But despite that strike, Wanyama struggled to reclaim his place in the side due to the form of Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele.
Reports have suggested Spurs will listen to offers for the Kenyan this summer, although speculation around his future has gone quiet in recent weeks.
However, German outlet Bild (via Sport Witness) is claiming Borussia Dortmund have identified Wanyama as a potential signing.
I can’t see Tottenham allowing Wanyama to leave this summer. He’s simply too important to the squad, and it would be difficult to find a replacement of sufficient quality.
What’s more, Dembele is almost certain to leave Spurs by the end of the transfer window, which could result in Wanyama being given more of a chance next term.
Sell them Wanyama but send them Sissoko 🙂
