Kieran Trippier has admitted he was at fault for Colombia’s goal in the World Cup Round of 16 but says England’s team spirit saw them through to the quarter-finals.
The Tottenham defender was unfortunate in failing to clear Yerry Mina’s header off the line in stoppage time.
And in an interview with ITV after the game, Trippier admitted he believes he made a mistake. Watch below.

Fortunately the right-back was excellent throughout, as he has been in each of his World Cup performances so far, and brilliantly dispatched his spot-kick in the shootout.
