Tottenham have made contact with the agent of Bordeaux winger Malcom ahead of a possible move for the Brazilian.
Malcom, 21, was heavily linked with a move to Spurs in January but the Londoners were priced out at the time, with Bordeaux asking for a fee in the region of £45 million.
Mauricio Pochettino instead moved for Malcom’s countryman, Lucas Moura, who arrived from PSG for around £25 million.
Tottenham have been linked with a number of attackers already this summer as Pochettino aims to add depth to his forward line, but new recruits are yet to arrive.
Wilfried Zaha and Anthony Martial are thought to be among Spurs’ top targets, although deals for both players seem to be proving difficult.
And now, France Football and Le 10 Sport (via Get French Football News) are both claiming Spurs have entered talks with Malcom’s agent.
Tottenham are said to be financially capable of completing a deal for Malcom, although they could face competition from AS Roma.
The story hasn’t gained much traction among trustworthy outlets in the UK yet, so it’s unclear how reliable it is.
One of these days Spurs will actually buy a forward who will fit into theSpurs team.
Pochettino has not been very good at buying forwards. In fact he has been rubbish.!
Pochettino has a very small say in which players are bought by Spurs. Daniel Levy has a 25% team investment. He controls who we sign, and who we sell.
