Tottenham have no plans to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to ESPN.
The report also reveals no progress has been made in a potential move for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
Martial has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after failing to receive assurances over his place in Jose Mourinho’s preferred starting line-up.
Spurs, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are all said to be keen on the Frenchman, although United are apparently eager to sell Martial to a foreign club rather than a Premier League rival.
Perhaps Tottenham have picked up on United’s stance: ESPN claims the Londoners now have no plans to move for the 22-year-old.
Spurs are, however, still keen to sign Grealish from Villa despite a dispute over the midfielder’s valuation.
No progress has been made of late, but Tottenham are reportedly keen to recruit the 22-year-old with a view to signing more home-grown players.
Any deal for Grealish is likely to be done closer to the end of the transfer window, as is usually the case with Spurs.
