Last week we saw Tottenham youngster Luka Amos impress in the 4-1 pre-season victory over Roma.
And over the weekend another young player staked a claim for a chance in the first-team squad this season.
Spurs drew 2-2 with Barcelona in the US, coming from two goals down thanks to goals from Heung-Min Son and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
But it was Oliver Skipp in midfield who arguably put in the most admirable performance of the night.
The 17-year-old looked composed and tenacious in central midfield, and his display surely will have given Mauricio Pochettino something to think about.
