Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko will join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan, according to reports in France.

The alleged deal – reported by French outlet RMC (via GFFN) – broke during Monday night’s 3-0 win at Manchester United.

Spurs secured their first victory at Old Trafford under Mauricio Pochettino thanks to Harry Kane’s opener and a Lucas Moura brace.

Sissoko was a surprise absentee from the squad, and it appears we might now know why.

According to RMC, Tottenham have agreed to allow Sissoko to join Turkish side Fenerbahce on loan until the end of the current campaign.

Vincent Janssen spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce, but the Dutchman recently underwent foot surgery and looks set to stay with Spurs despite being surplus to requirements.

Sissoko’s possible exit comes as a surprise after the Frenchman was picked in the starting line-up against his old club Newcastle United on the opening weekend.

But with Mousa Dembele set to stick around – unless a foreign club moves for the Belgian in the coming days – Sissoko may not be needed.

    • I was thinking exactly the same. With such a night last night and now this news, I’m starting to believe that God may actually exist!!

  1. This is the best news ever the man was total Shit and a liability every minute on the pitch probably the worst player I can recall watching it’s such good news as when he played it was like being down to ten men.

    • It’s more a case of being unable to move him on due to his injury? Either way,he could be useful in cup conps as Kanes understudy? Whereas Sissoko isn’t useful anywhere unless the tea lady has been on a bender?

  2. Fenerbahce denied this today. Althought it is odd how he wasn’t in the squad. He is useful for depth in the squad, but the sooner we offload him, the less we will lose on our ridiculous £30m outlay.
