Tottenham have been drawn in Group B for the Champions League group stages alongside Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven and Inter Milan.
The Londoners were handed a tough draw last season but ended up topping their group ahead of eventual champions Real Madrid, as well as Borussia Dortmund and APOEL Nicosia.
Barcelona will prove challenging but Spurs will take confidence from the fact they took four points from Madrid last term.
PSV are the Dutch champions and could prove troublesome for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Tottenham fans will be looking forward to returning to the San Siro after two incredible trips there in 2010/11.
Gareth Bale’s incredible hat-trick made a 4-3 group stage defeat against Inter Milan feel almost like a win.
And every Spurs fan still has fond memories of Peter Crouch tucking away the winner in the Round of 16 against AC Milan the same year.
Tottenham supporters reacted to the group stage draw mostly with excitement on social media.

#thfc Spurs v Barcelona in the Champions League: Tasty draw for Pochettino as much as anyone, given his past with Espanyol.

Genuinely excited with that @ChampionsLeague group, no fear. Remember last season when most #thfc fans were running scared at the draw and we went and topped the group?

Great group. Decent teams with a decent enough chance to qualify in 2nd place.

Can’t wait to see the greatest living player on our turf and it’ll be nice to see Messi play against Kane too.

Group of Death? I call it what I’ve waited for, for decades. Football at the top table. And the Tottenham Hotspur will be there #coys

Spurs have to be pleased with that draw. Italy, Spain and Holland. Nothing in the middle of nowhere. A chance for Spurs to test themselves against Messi and company after coming up against Cristiano last time out. #UCLdraw

3 – In Spurs’ first ever meeting with Internazionale (October 2010), Gareth Bale scored a hat-trick in a 3-4 defeat. He is one of only two players to score a hat-trick in a CL match, but still end on the losing side (Ronaldo v Man Utd in April 2003, the other). Emergence. pic.twitter.com/zOuaV22lAf
