Heung-Min Son was overwhelmed with emotion as South Korea reached the Asian Games final on Wednesday with a 3-1 semi-final victory over Vietnam.
The Tottenham forward provided an assist as his country booked a place in this weekend’s final against Japan, who are certain to be difficult opponents.
At the final whistle of the semi-final, Son broke down in tears. If he wins a gold medal, he will be exempt from mandatory military service, which is perhaps why he was overcome.
You can watch Son’s reaction below. And watch his assist against Vietnam here.
Nice one Sonny!
Go Sonny, all Spurs fans are missing you, but are also willing you to get your medal. Love your passion.
