Tottenham face Barcelona in a crunch Champions League match at Wembley on Wednesday night amid a bit of an injury crisis.

Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Serge Aurier have all been ruled out, meaning Mauricio Pochettino has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

The Spurs boss has already confirmed Hugo Lloris will start. In front of him could be either a back three or a back four – we think Pochettino will go with a back four.

Danny Rose is in form and should start again on the left. Davinson Sanchez will almost certainly partner Toby Alderweireld in Vertonghen’s absence.

Victor Wanyama still might not be ready to a game of this intensity, so Eric Dier and Harry Winks could feature in central midfield.

Thankfully Tottenham have plenty of options in attacking midfield despite being without Alli and Eriksen. Erik Lamela was rested against Huddersfield so he’ll play centrally behind Harry Kane, with Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura on either side.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Barcelona – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I wouldn’t play Winks. I hope he proves me wrong but I’d play Wanyama in front of the back 4 with Lamela along side Dier. 4-3-3
