Real Madrid have made Christian Eriksen one of their top transfer targets, according to reports in Spain.
Eriksen is currently sidelined with an abdomen injury, but his agent recently played down fears the problem is “chronic” and the Dane should soon return to action for Spurs.
After being strongly linked with a move to Barcelona over the last two summers, Spanish outlet Cadena COPE (via the Sun) is now claiming Eriksen is Madrid’s top target alongside Neymar.
It is believed Luka Modric will leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season, and Cadena COPE believes Madrid want Eriksen to replace the former Tottenham midfielder.
Eriksen has emerged as one of the best creative players in the Premier League over recent seasons and wouldn’t look out of place at the La Liga giants.
But Spurs will be hoping they can keep hold of the 26-year-old while the club makes their transition into the new stadium.
Aside from Kane, Eriksen is probably the most important player in the squad, so Tottenham would likely demand a huge fee if Madrid’s interest is genuine.
“After being strongly linked with a move to Barcelona over the last two summers”. Mmm, I’ve been seeing loads of those headlines for years, usually around international break time when club news is thin. What did those headlines boil down to, though? The term ‘linked’ usually means nothing, and ‘strongly linked’ likewise. Next thing, I imagine, there’ll be three club names mentioned and he’ll be ‘strongly linked ‘ to each one.
tottenham should must value Christian
Eriksen at around the £142million
fee Barcelona paid Liverpool for
Philippe Coutinho in January.
.and find perfect replacement as 2-3 players..dtaxler, Stephan El
