Barcelona have identified Harry Kane as an ideal long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, according to reports in Spain.

Suarez is now 31 and the La Liga giants are understandably on the lookout for a player to take his place as he enters the final years of his career.

And according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (via Sky Sports), Kane is their man – although Tottenham will demand at least £175 million for the 25-year-old.

Kane signed a new six-year contract with Spurs over the summer and there have always been rumblings the striker could spend his entire career with the Londoners.

However, if Tottenham don’t qualify for the Champions League this year, Kane may have some thinking to do.

Spurs are currently outside of the top four despite their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, winning seven of their ten matches.

Hopefully the club can convince Kane to stay for as long as possible. He is a vitally important figure at Tottenham, but there will always be interest from Spain while he is scoring so many goals.
