Juan Foyth’s second half winner for Tottenham against Crystal Palace on Saturday was vitally important, not least because it handed the visitors all three points in a tight London derby at Selhurst Park.

But the Premier League – via their official website – have revealed that Foyth’s header was much more than just a winning goal; it was a landmark moment for Spurs.

Indeed, it was Tottenham’s 1,500th Premier League goal. And what’s more, it confirmed Spurs as the team with the most different scorers in Premier League history.

A total of 146 players have found the net for the Londoners in the Premier League. West Ham United are the closest to that tally with 144.

Obviously there are more important tables to be at the top of, but it’s an interesting milestone for Spurs and Foyth to reach nonetheless.

The 20-year-old centre-back has been included in Argentina’s squad for his country’s upcoming matches.

He will be hoping to play a part when Tottenham take on Chelsea in yet another Premier League London derby after the international break.
