Former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has officially announced his retirement from playing football after taking up the assistant manager position under Mick McCarthy for the Republic of Ireland.
Keane made over 300 appearances across two spells with Spurs, scoring 122 goals, and was a fan favourite throughout his time at White Hart Lane.
The 38-year-old formed a lethal partnership with Dimitar Berbatov before both players left the club in the summer of 2008, but Keane returned just six months later.
Tottenham have celebrated Keane’s career with a video compilation of his best goals in north London. Watch below.
Congratulations on a fantastic playing career Robbie Keane! 👏
