Tottenham value Christian Eriksen at £220 million, according to reports in Spain, amid fresh rumours of interest from Real Madrid.
Eriksen’s contract expires in the summer of 2020, the end of next season, and there have been contrasting reports as to whether he will sign a new deal with Spurs.
The Dane has been on of Tottenham’s standout players under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, leading to reported interest both Real Madrid and Barcelona over the last three transfer windows.
And according to Spanish outlet Marca (via talkSPORT), Madrid remain interest in his services.
However, it is believed Spurs have slapped a £220 million price tag on Eriksen, which is £23 million more than the world record fee Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar in the summer of 2017.
Eriksen scored the winning goal in Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Inter Milan on Wednesday night to keep the Londoners’ hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stages alive.
It is likely Spurs will have to win at Barcelona in their final group game to progress to the last 16, and another good performance from Eriksen could see the exit rumours intensify even more.
Hopefully Tottenham can sort out his new contract sooner rather than later.
