Dele Alli will be assessed before Tottenham’s Premier League meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed.

Ahead of the Spurs manager’s press conference on Thursday, the club’s social media channels shared the up-to-date team news and injury updates.

Serge Aurier has returned to training and will be in contention for the Wolves game, but Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and Victor Wanyama all remain sidelined.

However, Dembele is said to be in the final stages of his rehabilitation and could be back in action very soon.

The club also revealed Alli will need to be assessed before a decision is made on his availability against Wolves, which Pochettino reiterated in his press conference.

Alli was substituted at half-time in Sunday’s 6-2 victory over Everton following a questionable challenge by Jordan Pickford just before the break.

The 22-year-old has been in fine form of late, finding the net in three of his last five appearances.

Pochettino has rotated heavily in recent games and having Alli available could give him the chance to rest Harry Kane or Son Heung-min against Wolves or Cardiff.
