Moussa Sissoko was one of the standout performers in Tottenham’s 3-0 win at Cardiff City on New Year’s Day.
Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min grabbed the goals in the first half, but Sissoko kept up the tempo in midfield to continue his fine form over the last couple of months.
In stoppage time at the end of the game, Sissoko played an Eriksen-eque pass to put Danny Rose through on the left.
It was an impressive moment from a player who has improved unequivocally this season. Watch below.
Can you find anything else he did that had an end product yesterday?
Moussa Sissoko has been brilliant in midfield this season, where his physical presence and energy levels have been often overlooked. He has been playing in his proper position instead of out wide and both he and Spurs have reaped the rewards.
All good teams need a “water carrier” so the bigger stars can flourish and Moussa deserves greater appreciation for his ability to disrupt opponents attacks and feed our attackers.
Ask the Spurs boys if you don’t believe me……..
