Tottenham are still sending scouts to watch Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen despite Mauricio Pochettino’s denial of interest, according to Football London.
Bowen has scored 13 goals in 27 Championship appearances so far this season, including nine in his last eight games for Hull.
The 22-year-old’s form has seen him linked with a move to Spurs, but Mauricio Pochettino played down the rumours in a press conference earlier this month.
However, Football London claims Tottenham continue to scout Bowen. It is believed Spurs representatives attended Hull’s recent victory over Sheffield Wednesday, a game in which Bowen found the net twice.
The news comes from a larger report that suggests Tottenham are aiming to sign young, English players from to develop into regular starters, something the club has seemingly moved away from in the last few transfer windows.
Spurs failed to bring in a single new player last summer, so January arrivals are a possibility. Injuries to Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko could make recruitment more urgent this month.
Pochettino always keeps his cards close to his chest when it comes to transfers, so don’t expect any updates from the Argentinian.
