Mauricio Pochettino has played down reports claiming Tottenham are interested in signing former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi this month.
The Spurs manager was speaking in his Premier League press conference ahead of Sunday’s London derby against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Earlier this week, reports emerged suggesting Tottenham are keen to pick up free agent Rossi on a pay-as-you-play contract.
But Pochettino said the report is just a “rumour” and is “not a possibility,” putting a pin in the speculation.
He also revealed Lucas Moura will miss the trip to Fulham while Eric Dier is only fit enough to make the bench. Watch the press conference below.
Why should Pochettino lie? The nonces in the press both home and abroad are over subscribed with liars constantly linking Spurs with every Tom, Dick and Harry and when a move for said player doesn’t happen, “it’s Spurs miss out again or player snubs Spurs” and Levy gets blamed yet again. The feeble minded prefer the latter.
I honestly wish our new stadium was up and running .Just too see how much money Daniel levy and Joe Lewis is gonna give potchattino in the summer 2 fullbacks and a reliable ball winning midfielder please .kieran trippier is garbage
