Burnley and Cardiff City are interested in signing Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen on deadline day, but talks have already begun with Schalke according to Sky Sports.
Janssen hasn’t played a single minute of senior football this season after being left out of the club’s Premier League and Champions League squads.
The Dutchman failed to secure a move away from Spurs last summer because of a foot injury that required surgery, but he has recently returned to fitness and is expected to leave either today or in the summer.
Sky Sports claims Tottenham have now opened talks with Bundesliga club Schalke over a loan deal for Janssen, although the details are unclear – whether there will be an option to buy remains to be seen.
Sky also believe there is ongoing interest from Premier League clubs, namely Burnley and Cardiff. Janssen may have to decide between staying in England and moving to a new league.
He spent last season on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahce, so he won’t be too worried about the prospect of having to switch countries.
