Tottenham are set to make a £50 million bid for Bournemouth star David Brooks, according to the Mirror.

Brooks has been one of the Premier League’s surprise packages since joining Bournemouth from Sheffield United last summer, scoring six goals and providing four assists in 22 league appearances so far this season.

The Mirror claims Spurs are preparing a £50m offer in order to beat Manchester United and other interested clubs to the punch.

Bournemouth signed Brooks for just £11.5m, so the Cherries could be set to make a huge profit on the 21-year-old.

If the report is genuine, Tottenham would be willing to break their transfer record to sign Brooks, which means they must be huge admirers of the Wales international.

Spurs could be in need of a new central attacking midfield either this summer or next as Christian Eriksen’s contract expires at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Preferably, the Londoners would keep Eriksen and signed a youngster like Brooks, but agreeing terms on a new deal with Eriksen could be difficult if Real Madrid are interested.

  1. ive been watching his progress and has everything our club would want in a new player , youth, pace, assists and goals .Sonny and Moura have pace but this lad would improve our squad no end

  2. Stop writing such utter crap.Spurs were allegedly interested in this player when he was at Sheffield Utd but didn’t pay the £12M fee.Doubt they would pay 4 times that amount just 6 months later never mind Daniel Levy never ever entertaining paying such a fee in the 1st place.
People should not be allowed to print such rubbish and the readers are doubly stupid for accepting it.
