Tottenham are keeping tabs on Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, according to ESPN.
Henderson is currently on loan at Championship side Sheffield United, where he has conceded 31 goals in 30 league games so far this season, keeping 10 clean sheets.
The 21-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season but United have the option to extend it by a further year.
However, with David de Gea being just about untouchable at Old Trafford, there is a good chance Henderson will face long wait to challenge for the United No. 1 shirt.
And according to ESPN, a number of clubs are monitoring Henderson’s situation, including Spurs.
The Londoners are apparently set to face competition from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus, who are all looking for new long-term first-choice goalkeepers.
Despite captaining France to World Cup glory last summer, Hugo Lloris is arguably going downhill in terms of his ability – even if his leadership skills remain up to scratch.
Tottenham would be wise to begin the search for a new goalkeeper now so they are not in a difficult position when Lloris is eventually phased out.
