Mauricio Pochettino has said he hopes Tottenham move into their new stadium by the end of the season, even if it is for just one game.

This week, Spurs announced the north London derby against Arsenal on March 2 will take place at Wembley but failed to give any updates about the location of the following home matches.

In his press conference on Friday, Pochettino said he is unsure whether Tottenham will play at the new White Hart Lane-based arena by the end of the season, hinting for the first time that Spurs could spend the entire season at Wembley.

However, in quotes released later on Friday evening, Pochettino revealed his desire to make the move even if it means playing just one game back in north London.

“(Chairman) Daniel (Levy) still believes. He is working hard in order to deliver. The club has my opinion. My opinion is ‘move.’ If we can play one or five games, I want to move,” Pochettino said (via the Mirror).

“Even for one game, I take the risk and move. I am brave. Lift the league trophy in the new stadium? Exactly. Or we lose it. But in your home. I always prefer to play at home and in my stadium and my house. I hope that happens.”

Tottenham’s final match of the current Premier League campaign is at home against Everton on May 12. Before then, they are scheduled to play home league games against Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Huddersfield and West Ham.
