Tottenham star Son Heung-min is set to sign a new contract with the club that will see him receive a huge wage rise, according to the Daily Mail.
Son has been in excellent form this season, scoring 16 goals across all competitions including four in his last four appearances since returning from the Asian Cup.
The South Korean signed a new contract last summer, said to be worth £110,000 per week, but the Mail believes talks over over another new deal will begin at the end of the current season.
And Son’s wages are expected to rise to around £150,000 per week as a result of his fine performances.
The 26-year-old has become a talismanic figure for Spurs in recent weeks, stepping up in the absence of Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
He has looked equally comfortable playing through the middle or on the wing, and it’s rarely a surprise when he finds the back of the net, such is the form he’s in.
Tottenham fans will be delighted to see Son agree terms on yet another new deal if it means he will be sticking around for the next few years.
