Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said onlookers “now are going to realise our real level” after Saturday’s defeat to Southampton.

The Spurs boss was referring to the fact his side is now embroiled in the battle for a top four finish following a third straight league defeat on the road.

Harry Kane gave Tottenham the lead midway through the first half at St Mary’s but goals from Yan Valery and James Ward-Prowse ensured victory for the hosts.

In his post-match press conference, Pochettino said Spurs are now “living in the reality” amid genuine fears of missing out on Champions League qualification.

  1. It is clear that MP has lost the dressing room;it is obvious that Eriksen’s mind is already set in another club.
They should just go; the sooner the better.
Moving to our new stadium without Champions League football next season is inexcusable.

  2. There is a certain mental weakness about Tottenham, good as they are, let alone their inconsistency. There is also a problem with Pochettino who keeps changing his team with every game. He has never been good at team selection..
