Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing four specific players this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
It is believed Spurs are targeting Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen, Valencia’s Carlos Soler and Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Londoners came close to signing Grealish last summer but Villa’s new owners performed a U-turn on the deal at the last minute.
Grealish recently returned from injury and scored the winner against Birmingham City last weekend despite being attacked by a supporter during the game.
Bowen has scored 18 goals in the Championship for Hull this season and the 22-year-old is being tipped to join a Premier League club this summer.
Soler, a 22-year-old winger, has provided five assists in La Liga this term for Valencia. It looks like he is an alternative to Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, who Tottenham no longer believe they can afford.
Aleksandar Mitrovic is said to be an option to provide cover for Harry Kane but the Mail claims he may not want to join as a back-up player.
Grealish, Bowen and Soler seem relatively realistic, but we can’t see Spurs making a move for Mitrovic.
Mitrovic is a player that causes problems for teams he can play CL football.
The others I’m not so sure on. ???
We need experienced winners to help us over the line.
Another crap article.
Never 2 without 3.
Spurs will no doubt refrain from signing anyone this summer to make it 3 consecutive windows without a signing.
Levy and Poch obviously think the way forward is to refrain from signing new players and having next season in the new stadium as a none Champions League one.
