Tottenham Hotspur continue to hold an interest in Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, according to the Guardian.
Ziyech has been in excellent form for Ajax this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 16 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
He found the net in both legs of Ajax’s stunning Champions League Round of 16 victory over Real Madrid.
And the Guardian claims Spurs have a ‘long-standing interest’ in the 26-year-old.
The story suggests Tottenham could back Mauricio Pochettino by signing a number of players in the summer transfer window after failing to bring in a new recruit for over a year.
It is believed chairman Daniel Levy values Christian Eriksen at £130 million, which could raise funds for incoming players.
One of those targets might be Ziyech, who Ajax will have a difficult time keeping hold of this summer if his current form continues.
The Morocco international would be an ideal replacement for Eriksen going by his goal and assist numbers.
That said, Ziyech is unproven in the Premier League and could take time to adapt to English football.
