Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse, according to Sky in Germany.

Kruse, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has scored nine goals and provided 12 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions so far this term.

The 31-year-old is a Germany international, scoring four goals in 14 games, but has not found the net for his country since 2015.

Available on a free transfer this summer, it is believed Kruse could be a target for Spurs.

Sky in Germany claims Inter Milan are also keeping an eye on the former Freiburg and Wolfsburg star, who is set to make a decision on his future at the end of the season.

Tottenham will likely lose Fernando Llorente this summer with the Spaniard coming to the end of his contract, which means Mauricio Pochettino will require fresh backup for Harry Kane.

If Spurs go down the experienced route again, Kruse could be a good option, but the Londoners may prefer a young English player to increase the club’s homegrown quota.
