AC Milan midfielder and alleged Tottenham Hotspur target Franck Kessie may be sold this summer following a recent controversial incident, according to reports in Italy.

After Milan’s 1-0 victory over Lazio in Serie A on Saturday, Kessie and his teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko paraded the shirt of Francesco Acerbi around the stadium after swapping jerseys with the Lazio player at full-time.

Acerbi had clashed with Milan players throughout the game, and the actions of Kessie and Bakayoko were seen as unnecessary and inflammatory.

Milan have confirmed they will not suspend either player, but Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims the Serie A giants could be open to selling Kessie following the incident.

The report suggests Spurs and Arsenal both hold a long-term interest in the 22-year-old Ivory Coast international and offers could be made this summer.

Kessie has scored five goals in 28 league appearances this season, including the winner from the penalty spot against Lazio on Saturday.

Tottenham are likely to pursue a new central midfielder this summer after failing to replace Mousa Dembele in the January transfer window.
