Tottenham Hotspur are the favourites to sign Denmark youth international Andreas Skov Olsen, according to the Sun.
The 19-year-old forward scored 19 goals in 26 appearances for Nordsjaelland in the Danish top-flight this season.
The Sun claims Spurs have sent scouts to watch Olsen, who has been dubbed the ‘new Christian Eriksen’ – primarily because of his nationality.
However, the Londoners could face competition from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Everton.
Tottenham are said to be leading the race for Olsen’s signature as a result of Mauricio Pochettino’s track record with developing young players.
But that reason could simply be speculation on the Sun’s part in an attempt to justify why Spurs are in pole position.
Olsen has scored two goals in seven appearances for Denmark’s Under-21 side and is expected to become a regular for the senior team.
He can play out wide or through the middle, which could be why Pochettino is keen to recruit him – the Argentinian is a fan of versatile players.
Nordsjaelland apparently value Olsen at around £10 million, so he is certainly affordable to Tottenham.
We need young players with creativities so Olsen has what we need let’s go for him.
