Tottenham Hotspur are set to act on their interest in Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to the Sun.

Ndombele has been linked with Spurs for some time, and earlier this month we relayed reports the Londoners are set to make a second bid for the Frenchman after seeing an initial offer turned down.

The Sun claims a deal for Ndombele could soon come to fruition, perhaps sooner than other reported transfers Tottenham are attempting to complete.

Spurs are said to be chasing Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso and Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes, with reports in Portugal claiming the latter is close to sealing a move to north London.

However, the Sun’s story suggests Ndombele is ‘more likely’ to become a Tottenham player than Fernandes this summer.

Lyon will apparently demand £70 million for the 22-year-old, but Spurs want to sign him for around £50 million.

Ndombele scored once and provided seven assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances this season and would probably be considered Tottenham’s first-choice holding midfielder ahead of Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.

  1. That’s because poch is a rasist cunt who favours argentinian players even if they are crap. How else do you explain us buying Juan shite who fouls all the time and defends badly. He also won’t get rid of lamella who is clearly shit where ever you play him.
