Tottenham Hotspur are battling Arsenal and West Ham for the signing of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to the Express.
Kessie moved to the San Siro on a two-year loan from Atalanta in the summer of 2017 and Milan have the obligation to buy him this summer.
But it is believed Milan could look to sell Kessie in the current transfer window, and there is apparently interest from the Premier League.
The Express claims Kessie is keen to move to a London club that plays in Europe, meaning a move to Spurs is potentially on the cards.
Arsenal and West Ham are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old, but the Hammers may struggle to convince him to sign with no European football.
Tottenham’s qualification for the Champions League gives them an advantage over Arsenal, although the Gunners may be able to offer Kessie more regular first-team football.
The Ivory Coast international, who is valued at around £30 million by Milan, scored seven goals and provided three assists in 42 appearances across all competitions this season.
What about Gomes? Don’t let Wolves steal him, Everton are dragging the chain and not committing to him, do pay 25 and Pellegrini get your first choice
@john. It’s Everton’s first call on Gomes. The guy clearly wants to stay there out of loyalty. Hard to knock him for that tbh. If they do back out then anything is possible.
ps. Why are we even discussing this on a Spurs blog? oh well.
As for subject in Hand: I smell agent bullshit in this story, Don’t think any of Arsenal, WHU, or Spurs are stupid enough to have a three way bidding war over Kessie. But the idea sells papers.
