The summer shopping list Mauricio Pochettino has handed to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy includes Tanguy Ndombele, Donny van de Beek, Nicolo Zaniolo and Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Guardian.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Lyon’s Ndombele this week, while Sessegnon has been a target since he first broke into the Fulham team as a 16-year-old.

Ajax star Van de Beek and and Roma’s teenage sensation Zaniolo have mostly been mentioned as possible signings in the foreign press, but the Guardian – usually reliable when it comes to transfer stories – claims Pochettino wants the duo this summer.

There is no mention of Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, who is reportedly the subject of a bid from Atletico Madrid. Again, the overseas press have been linking the Argentinian with Tottenham more than the big British newspapers.

It’s becoming clear Pochettino wants to add at least one central midfielder after Spurs were left short in the middle of the park last season as a result of injuries to Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier.

It seems Tottenham also want to recruit another attacker to provide competition for the current crop, or to replace Christian Eriksen if the Dane departs.

  1. As addicted as I’ve become to NewsNow, especially, in the transfer seasons, there are only two outlets I’ve come to find most reliable for transfer news: Guardian and BBC.

  2. Football leaks it changes who is reliable, I remember when AVB came in the Mirror reported spurs were targeting Llloris, Vertonghen, Dembele and Moutinho. We went for all 4 that window.

  3. I hope these are wrong. Would prefer NDombele, Wan Bissaka (Sessegnon could be a bargain but right back is much more of a pressing issue this summer) Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata and Rodrigo De Paul plus Hakim Ziyech to replace Eriksen if he leaves and Joaquim Anderson to replace Toby if he leaves (which I really hope he doesn’t). Midfield our weakest area this past season, as good as Sissoko was and posh now seems to prefer box to box mids to defensive mids. Eriksens sudden downturn in form from February onwards has been a real concern also.
