Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in AC Milan playmaker Suso, according to reports in Italy.

Suso, a former Liverpool player, has been linked with the Londoners a number of times in the past. Most recently, we relayed reports in February claiming Spurs were eager to beat Arsenal to the Spaniard’s signature.

And now, Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Tottenham are competing with the Gunners and West Ham to sign Suso.

The report from February revealed Suso has a £35 million release clause in his contract. He hasn’t signed a new deal since then, so it’s likely that clause is still there.

Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on the Spaniard, who could leave Milan as a result of the team’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Suso scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 35 Serie A appearances last season and has likely been identified as a cheaper alternative to Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso.

With that in mind, perhaps Spurs will not make a move unless they miss out on Lo Celso, whose release clause is reportedly much more expensive at £88 million.

  1. No – just no – they’ve never wanted this guy and never will. Just ridiculous click bait – it must hurt doing the work you do.

    • We submitted a £25m bid for him last season and AC turned it down, we never went back in with another offer!
At around £25m or Lamela plus £5m maybe! but otherwise I tend to agree!
