Tottenham have been told to increase their offer for Lyon star Tanguy Ndombele to £63 million, according to Sky Sports.

Ndombele has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over the last week or so, with reports suggesting the Londoners have opened talks with Lyon over a deal.

The Frenchman recently admitted he would be tempted if Tottenham became an option but said he will hold off on deciding his future until he returns from a holiday.

Sky Sports claims talks between the two clubs are progressing, and Spurs have been told to pay £63 million if they want to sign Ndombele this summer.

It’s unclear how much Tottenham are willing to pay for the 22-year-old, but central midfield is thought to be one of Mauricio Pochettino’s priority positions to strengthen.

With that in mind, Spurs may choose to spend the majority of their budget on Ndombele or a player of his kind, a defensive midfielder to add depth and quality in the middle of the park.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham increase their bid in the coming days – stay tuned for updates.

  1. Tanguy Ndombele was a Spurs target long before the media added Manchester United’s name to the story. It now appears that every player linked with Spurs, the following day is being linked to Manchester United. Now Eriksen is being talked up as a target for Liverpool as is Lucas and Son. Next week it’ll be Kane’s turn to e linked away from the club. You just got to laugh.
