Turkish champions Galatasaray are set to make a shock move for Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to The Independent.

The 28-year-old, who is not with the rest of the squad in Asia, because of his African Cup of Nations commitments earlier this month, has just two years remaining on the deal that he initially at Spurs in 2016 when he joined from Southampton.

Wanyama started all but three of Tottenham’s Premier League games in a scintillating first season at the club in 2016/2017, but injuries and loss of form led to the Kenyan international losing his place in the Totttenham midfielder over the past two seasons – and with Tanguy Ndombele bolstering what is already an impressive-looking line-up, the former Southampton man looks to be surplus to requirements for Mauricio Pochettino.

He made just 10 starts in all competitions last term – with two of those coming home and away against Ajax – and looks set to join Kieran Trippier in moving away from North London.

  1. Is Wanyama aware of this link with him to the Turkish club and just as important, are Spurs aware?
Only yesterday, Wanyama said that he has no intention of leaving Spurs, his contract comes to an end in 2023 and the moment that’s been said, he’s immediately linked to yet another club.
I guess as a reporter, any old shit will do as long as you have a story particularly as it appears that Victor is sliding down the pecking order eh.

  2. Once again at the start of any season concerning Spurs, the Trevor McDoughnuts surface from under their rocks with their ‘bullshit bulletin’.

Wanyama still has a long contract stated that he’s happy at Spurs and have no desire to leave. So what does this foolish excuse of a journalist talking about. Did Levy categorically say that he’s gonna pay out the rest of Wanyama’s contract?

No, so can we put this crap journalist thoughts where the sun dont shine. Im tired of these ten a penny journalist. As Stan Lee would say “Nuff said.”
