Danny Rose is expected to leave Tottenham this summer – but the England defender will not be signing for Newcastle United.

Spurs are looking to offload Rose and have given him extra time off in order for him to find a new club after leaving him out of their squad that travelled to the Far East for their pre-season tour of Singapore and Shanghai earlier this month.

Rose has been linked with both PSG and Juventus before the Magpies registered their interest in the left-back, who is available for £25million.

But Rose, who earns a reported £60,000-per-week at Tottenham, is seen as too expensive for Newcastle, who can’t match his wage demands, according to The Sun.

With less than two weeks left until the window slams shut, Rose firmly remains a Tottenham player for now, even though he hasn’t returned to Hotspur Way for pre-season.

  1. He is back at the lodge training. Poch said so in a presser. Like i stated earlier, Rose will fight Levy and stay. When he does leave it should be a proper sendoff with applause and adulation after over a decade of fantastic service.
