Tottenham are in action in the Audi Cup later this evening as they play Real Madrid in their first of two matches in the space of 24 hours.

It’s a two-day tournament with the winners facing either hosts Bayern Munich or Fenerbache in tomorrows final.

There was a surprise inclusion in the travelling party to the German capital – with left-back Danny Rose named in the squad despite his Spurs future looking in major doubt after he was left out of their pre-season tour of the Far East recently after the club revealed he is available for a transfer.

But Spurs are yet to receive any offers for Rose, and the defender has been thrown straight in the action against the Spanish giants – it’ll be his first appearance in a Tottenham shirt since their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool last month.

There is also a return to the bench for Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, who spent the second half of last season on loan at French side Monaco, whilst Hugo Lloris is back after leaving Spurs’ tour of Asia early through illness.

Starting XI: Gazzaniga, Foyth, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Winks, Ndombele, Lamela, Eriksen, Son Kane.
